Both minors slam try
This
deal is from an EBU teams match played by Espen
Gisvold.
Espen
reached six clubs as above with West leading the
spade ten.
He
won the spade and drew trumps, then needing the
diamond ace onside he played a diamond towards the
king.
West
could not afford to take the diamond ace as East's
queen would then fall under the king, so he ducked.
Espen
now cashed all his winners in the major suits and
exited with a low diamond. When East won he
was endplayed to concede a ruff and discard.
Thanks
to Raymond Semp for reporting this deal
