Welcome to the website of
the Northern Bridge League.
Formed in 2006, the NBL is a teams-of-eight competition between the
County Bridge Associations of Northern England and North Wales.
The League is divided into three Divisions. The A Division is for
teams consisting of the county's best players, the B Division
is for the county's next best players, whilst the C Division is
aimed at club players.
There are four
all-play-all events each year, held on Saturdays in the Summer months.
Events, which are of around 42 boards, start at 12.30. A buffet
meal
is
included, and most people are on their way home by early evening.
Pages on this web site do not always show as updated
to the user. If you expect to see new information, e.g. soon
after an event, and it doesn't show please refresh the page (F5) and/or

The 2017 dates are now posted on the fixtures page.
The final round of matches
was played on 8th October. In the A division perennial winners
Manchester retained
their title with a win on the day to finish 9 VPs clear of Yorkshire
2. The B
division was very close this year, but Manchester won the last round of
matches to overtake Cumbria. In the C division
Yorkshire SE just pipped Lancashire
for the title. Good luck to all the division winners in the
National Finals next year.
Thanks to Stuart Davies, Bernard Kaye, Jeff Smith and all directors,
host clubs and caterers for their hard work in running this most
enjoyable event.
